Whether you’re a beginner struggling with proportions or a painter looking to deepen your impact, this course will help you to create more solid portraits. We’ll guide you step-by-step through our method to achieve the core structure found in the greatest paintings of all time. We'll break down the head into simple geometric forms, establish light and shadow structure, and develop each feature with intention. You’ll learn how to: -See and simplify the human head into basic shapes -Use the cube, cone, cylinder, and egg to structure your portraits -Understand and apply the anatomy of light and shadow -Block-in the head from different angles: frontal, ¾, and profile -Develop individual features with clarity (eyes, nose, mouth, ears) -Translate drawing skills into painting foundations
